Am I able to have more than one layaway?

Yes! You can have as many active layaways as you would like. Remember, a 10% payment is required for each active layaway every month.

Do I have to create an account when ordering?

Yes. An account is required to accurately track your layaway history, payment milestones, and order shipping information.

How can I confirm Layaway Guns received my order?

You will see an Order Confirmed screen immediately after checkout and you will also receive an email confirmation shortly after your order has been placed.

How much are shipping charges?

Shipping charges vary and are calculated at checkout after entering your address. We exclusively use UPS as our shipping carrier.

How long does it take my order to ship?

All items ship within 2 business days after your final payment is cleared. Tracking information will be provided as soon as the label is generated.

Is there a cancellation fee if I change my mind?

If you need to cancel a layaway before the item ships, there is a 20% restocking fee. If the item has already shipped, you are responsible for return shipping plus the 20% restocking fee. Items already transferred from a receiving FFL cannot be returned.

I forgot to pay on my layaway — is it still active?

Layaway Guns requires a 10% payment every 30 days, followed by a 15-day grace period (45 days total). If payment is not received after 45 days, the layaway defaults and the item returns to inventory. Refunds are not issued for defaulted layaways.

Do my items have a warranty?

Almost all new firearms and optics are covered under a direct manufacturer warranty. Layaway Guns does not offer an additional store warranty. Please contact the manufacturer directly for any mechanical or cosmetic defect claims.

Can I add something else to an active order?

To add another item, please start a new layaway order. We are unable to modify orders that have already been placed in our system.

Do you ship outside the United States?

No, we only sell and ship within the United States.

Can I place an order over the phone?

We cannot complete layaway orders over the phone because phone orders prevent you from managing and making future online scheduled payments.

What if I live in a state with magazine restrictions?

Please confirm that your item complies with your local state laws before starting a layaway. We do not ship non-compliant items to restricted states regardless of LE, Military, or FFL credentials.

Can I pick up my firearm in person if I'm near Opelika, AL?

Absolutely! In-store pickup is a great way to save on transfer fees. Please note that background checks can take up to 3 business days (and up to 10 days for individuals under 21) per ATF regulations.

What is the return policy?

Returns before receiving the item from your FFL incur return shipping fees and a 20% restocking fee. Once the firearm has been transferred to you by your FFL, returns are no longer accepted.

Can I pre-order out-of-stock items?

We do not accept pre-orders. However, you can uncheck "Hide Out of Stock" in search, find your item, and add it to your Wishlist to receive an automated email notification when it returns to stock.

Do you collect sales tax?

Sales tax is collected for orders in Alabama (our physical presence) and any state where economic nexus requirements apply.
